Quilting calculators that show their math

Work out yardage and cut sizes in seconds, then see exactly how the number was reached, so you can trust it before you cut into fabric you love.

Why another quilting calculator?

Most quilting math comes down to a few formulas: add seam allowances, multiply by 1.414 for anything on the diagonal, and round up to a size your ruler can cut. Every calculator here shows the formula and a worked example, uses fractions you can actually find on a ruler, and works on your phone at the cutting table.

Accept fractions the way you'd write them: 12 1/2, 12.5 and 12-1/2 all work. Results update as you type, and the address bar keeps your numbers so you can bookmark or share a calculation.
